Brisbane

We arrived in Brisbane on the Sunday, 25th May and visited Deb's cousin in Narangba. We stayed for a Brissie Barbie and caught up on family history, then went to Fig Tree Pocket to stay there and to use it as a base to explore. We visited Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane itself and Ipswich Cemetery. We also visited Bribie Island however for the 1st time in ages it really rained in Brisbane and we felt like drowned rats.

Last year when I visited this man made beach on Brisbanes South Bank was shut. It lies hard up against the river and is very popular.

He looks so sad but sorry can't remember what he is called
During our visit to Toowong cemetery to look for both mine and Deb's families we discovered this grave of Charles Scarborough completely covered with a tree. Makes taking pictures of the monument difficult.
