Melbourne

We arrived in Melbourne on the 7th after a long flight via Hong Kong and for once the flight was 1/2 empty so there was plenty of room to lie down. The weather was overcast but not too cold and it stayed that way for the 3 days. God I hate jet lag every 5 minutes you feel like falling asleep.

On the following day we met up with Lizoz (Marlene) and hubby Bill along with Dougmc AKA Ken for a tour of Melbourne's sights and sounds.

We stayed on Southbank, Melbourne just below the tall building which is called the Eureka Tower. 88 floors high.
Just across fromthe hotel is Princes bridge which leads to Flinders Railway station. across the Yarra river is the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) hallowed turf for a lot of Aussies.

Right thru the shopping area in Melbourne are lots of hidden precincts. In on were these 2 Gog and Magog who at intervals rang their bells to mark the time.
